WHY Festival invites you to the Imagining Protopia Through AI-Generated Images workshop with Mariami Chkhikvaze at Atallier Gallery. This is a hands-on creative workshop exploring how AI can shape new visual futures in fashion, design, and culture.
Participants will learn how to craft thoughtful prompts using tools like MidJourney and ChatGPT, discovering the structure and language behind image generation.
The focus will be on building visual narratives that reflect Protopia—a world that embraces soft progress, cultural nuance, and human-tech symbiosis.
Through guided exercises, attendees will create speculative scenes and environments.
Mariami is a Florence-based Graphic Designer and new media researcher with a background in Sociology and Marketing. Her work blends fashion, typography, and technology with storytelling rooted in cultural identity—most notably in her project Lost in Script, which reimagines the endangered Georgian alphabet through contemporary design.
A graduate of IED Firenze’s Master in Graphic Design – New Media, her research explores the intersection of culture, technology, and visual experimentation, where AI becomes a creative partner for building meaningful narratives.
