Graphic Designer, activist, and Project Manager at the type foundry Zetafonts, Dario Manzo has a background in Architecture and Design and holds a Master’s degree in Graphic Design from IED Florence, where he also teaches today.

Specialized in graphic and social design, he adopts a creative and ironic approach, using design as a tool for raising awareness and driving social change. His artistic research and experimentation focus on queer community issues and gender matters.

“FAGS – Fightin’ Against Gay Slurs” is a project consisting of 28 posters that flips the meaning of homophobic slurs, transforming them into acts of visual resistance. Through a pop aesthetic, the use of multiple languages and Italian dialects, and an ironic and provocative approach, the project proudly reclaims offensive words, giving them new strength and meaning.

Inspired by activist graphics, the FUOR! magazine, and manifesto texts, the project aims to deliver a powerful message: embracing one’s own fragility as a subversive and transformative act.
